(I'm SOOOO sorry that it's tak...I hear you! (I'm SOOOO sorry that it's taken me this long to get back here after AtoZ!<br /><br />I never understood why gay marriage was the big issue it was/is. I do believe that churches should be able to determine who they marry within their walls and using their own liturgies, but how can we legislate love? That one baffled me. <br /><br />We don't often hear about the after effects of our actions, but when some lesbian friends of mine chose a church, they credited two of their Christian friends (myself included) with showing them that Christianity doesn't hate them - it was a problem within certain groups of people. <br /><br />I think if we abandon religion, then no one will get to know that there are caring, loving, kind people of any religion.
