Jane the Virgin
Jane is shocked to discover another book that is much like her own. The main characters have names very similar to her characters. They have a similar love story. It takes place in the same location. The difference is the book is a horror story. Nightmares of a serial killer coming for her, killing her for copyright infringement, keep her up at night. Eventually, Petra has a lawyer look into things. "No reasonable juror could find a likelihood of confusion as to the source of the two parties' works," the lawyer concludes. Still, the lawyer sets up a meeting with Jane and the author of the other book. The author (famous guest female author) finds all of this to be hilarious and adorable. She points out all the ways their books are different. They end up doing a book-signing together. There's very little crossover in the fans. But a major morning talkshow covers the event, and sales for both authors soar.
Is it a coincidence that both books have same names characters? Interesting
