I use Resistbot to reach out to my elected officials fairly regularly.

I know it's "not enough," and probably "does nothing." But I can't honestly contribute more than this, and I'm shit at doing less. So, whatever.

There have been cases of ICE detaining citizens. And raping children. And basically being the absolute worst human scum. Does this solve it? No. But at least it'd be one step in a better direction. A little accountability.

Announcing FEMA isn't helping states anymore is just... 

It's terrorism. But I tied it to the disasters of data centers instead. If they're gonna ignore me anyway, may as well double down on my useless rant.

The right to OWN a purchase. 

I swear, companies act like we're on a generational starship and can't own anything because there's a limited resource on EVERYTHING.

I went all in with this rant. Local, state, fed. 

Bet your ass I voted 🗳!  And took it to the dropbox ballot box.

Doubled down again. But since they probably don't read these, may as well.

Do I believe that American health care will improve in my lifetime?

No.

That'd take a miracle. Jesus could come back and preach about it, still wouldn't be enough.

Aetna CVS spends more money buying politicians than getting decent health care for people. 

Oh yeah, I went 🤬 batshit on this one. Because taxes are paying these useless chumps to do nothing but spread hatred.

Health Care. Again. 

I would like to live. Don't know my odds are great.

Glad I own a cemetery plot and tombstone. (No joke. Just gotta add the death date.)

 Heard of this? First, they take away someone's home. Then arrest them for being homeless. Then force them to do unpaid (or barely paid) labor until they die. 

We live in a horror story.

Okay, that's a bunch of them. I mostly share these on my Bluesky account. But figured I'd put some here, too. 

It matters to me. This is a record of proof that I cared about something. 

You Are Why We Can't Have Rosie from the Jetsons

For people who can't understand the current political climate of America.

We are currently being led/ governed by people, the majority (or most powerful) of which long to eradicate an overwhelmingly significant portion of the population so they can have robots, like Rosie from the Jetsons, instead.

The following is a partial list of the types of people who the American leaders would prefer to be dead:

Anyone who is ill, injured, or needs medical care requiring more than fifteen minutes more than twice a decade; anyone who can get pregnant, or who looks like someone who could get pregnant, or has been altered via gender reassignment and is no longer able to get pregnant as result; anyone too young to fend for themselves, anyone who requires any amount of assistance to fend for themselves, anyone who doesn't want a gun to fend for themselves; people who are not overwhelmingly wealthy, people who are wealthy but don't hate everyone on this list, people following any religion that doesn't support hating everyone on this list, most non-Christians, any scientist who puts truth above agreement and compliance, all environmentalists; anyone with even one great-great grandparent who was born outside of America, anyone with more than one ancestor who is Native American, anyone who looks slightly different than they think they look, anyone who takes pride in being a unique individual; and anyone who tries to stop the plan to eradicate all those on this list.

Does that clear it up?
That's a list of who the government of America, in particular the top tier, has been attacking. Those are the people who the leaders want to make feel regret for being alive, and who they want to make remaining alive more difficult than it needs to be.

Tuesday's election, though not for a president, is important to everyone on this list.

Thank the Academy for the President

Does anyone else remember the time that the BEST film made in a year, the very best that Hollywood had to offer,  was a black& white without sound that a vast majority of people had never seen or heard of? The following year came with a curiosity- viewership of the award show dropped. It must have been the host!  It isn't as if normal people watched to root for a favorite,  or even for something they had at least heard of.

Similarly,  voting in political elections has been on the decline. Many people will tell you that it doesn't matter who wins because no one gets things done that they say they will. They generally can't,  either due to corruption from raising money for elections,  or because they face opposing party members. People want one candidate who is actually different,  who stands out from the crowd,  and yet manages to be effective.  They want the government that fictional books and movies offer. The one with teeth. The one that sees laws that are lacking or are dreadfully out of date and manages to fix it. Cyber crime grows faster than the laws created to prevent it. It's like the politicians need to keep the gun argument on the table so the people don't notice the serious lack of virtual protection,  of virtual guns needed for the same reason the founding fathers bothered to put a right to arms in that document!  But really,  if the people don't have a favorite candidate,  or assume that the favorite they do have won't win because they learned that The Artist is as good as it gets,  voter turn out will continue the same decline that The Academy has been straddled with.
